TB treatment is available free of cost at all government and identified private and NGO health facilities called treatment centres.

Tuberculosis (TB) Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was launched in 2021 by GOI in India for ending the epidemic of TB by 2025. It is a multi-dimensional approach which aims to detect all TB patients and emphasizes on reaching patients who are seeking TB care from private practitioners and undiagnosed TB in high-risk patients.

Ministry of Health formulated the “Nikshay Poshan Yojana”, an incentive for nutritional support to all notified TB patients wherein the Government provides them with 500 rupees per month to buy food. SAHASI became registered 'Nikshay Mitra' to supplement the nutritional requirements by providing kits of WHO approved dry nutrition [₹800/₹1000 etc per patient per month].

SAHAS adopted 10 such patients and distributed the kits  - the event happily coincided with the World TB Day which falls on March 24.
